Terms
The terms that cover work carried out by Color Image and the use of this website.
Last updated 20 August 2026.
These terms cover work carried out by Color Image and the use of this website. Where a written quote or order confirmation says something different, the quote takes precedence.
Quotes and orders
Prices are confirmed in a written quote for your specific job. Because print and signage pricing depends on stock, finish, size and quantity, a price given for one job does not carry over to another. Payment terms, deposits and turnaround are set out on the quote itself, and a job is booked in once you accept it in writing.
Artwork and approval
You are responsible for the accuracy of the content you supply, including spelling, phone numbers, prices and dates. We will send you a proof before anything is produced, and production begins only once you approve it. Once a proof is approved, the job runs as approved, so please read it carefully.
If we create artwork for you, we will tell you what file formats you receive on completion.
Colour
Screens emit light and print reflects it, so a colour on your monitor will never match a printed sheet exactly. Some very bright screen colours cannot be reproduced in four colour print at all, and we will tell you upfront if that applies to your artwork. Slight colour variation between separate print runs is normal in the industry and is not a defect.
Turnaround and delivery
We give you a realistic production date when we quote, and we work to it. Dates depend on artwork being approved on time and on stock being available. Delivery timeframes quoted by couriers are theirs, not ours, and we cannot control delays once a job has left us.
Signage installation
For signage fixed to a building, you are responsible for confirming that you have the right to install it, including any landlord approval, body corporate approval or council permit that applies. We can advise, but obtaining approval is not something we can do on your behalf unless we have agreed to it in writing.
Intellectual property
You keep ownership of the artwork, logos and content you supply to us, and you confirm you have the right to use them. Where we design something original for you, ownership of the final approved artwork passes to you on full payment. We keep the right to show completed work in our own portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Faults and reprints
If a job is not produced as approved, tell us promptly and we will put it right. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. Custom printed goods produced correctly to an approved proof are not returnable simply because they are no longer wanted.
Website work
For website projects, hosting, domain registration and third party services are separate from the build unless the quote says otherwise. Ongoing maintenance is a separate arrangement.
Use of this website
The text, images and design of this site belong to Color Image. Product images and samples shown are examples of work produced and are indicative rather than an exact representation of what your job will look like. We keep this site accurate but do not warrant that it is free of errors, and it does not form an offer or a contract.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Beyond those rights, our liability for a job is limited to re-supplying the work or refunding what you paid for it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
